We're a new church here in Star, and we'd love for you to be part of what God is building from the very beginning

The name Outpost comes from both the story of Star and our vision for what the church is meant to be. Star grew as a stopping point along a side route for travelers along the Oregon Trail, a place where people could gather, rest, and resupply before continuing on their journey. We believe that story captures something important about the church.
An outpost isn't the destination. It's a place to rest, refuel, resupply, and be sent.
We believe the church should function in much the same way. We gather on Sundays to worship, enjoy God together, open His Word, encourage one another, and be equipped for the week ahead. Then we're sent back into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities to live as everyday missionaries, as we go, wherever we go.
We don't believe gathering on Sunday is the finish line of our faith. It's an opportunity to worship together, grow in Christ, and be equipped for the work God invites us into throughout the week. Our faith doesn't stop when we leave the gathering. That's when we carry it into the places God has already put us.
And because the Outpost is dusty and dirty, we're not trying to create a place that pretends to have it all together or be overly polished. We're building a real community of ordinary people learning to follow Jesus together.
Sunday is not the destination. It's the Outpost.
